Advertising Week in New York only finished half the schedule and there is already some huge news coming from the likes of Google, Facebook, Yahoo and other key players.
If you missed it here is some of the news so far:
Google News:
Google announced a new way of targeting which has many advertisers excited. This new method is called “Customer Match” and it is a way to target user with an existing email list in Search using Adwords, Gmail, and Youtube. In a report in “Consumers in the Micro-Moment” by Google, they found 70% of online consumers agree that the timing and relevance of a brand’s message influences their perception of a brand. By offering even more relevant ads on a basis of past email address data, advertisers can enhance their brand’s perception.
Universal App Campaigns are now possible within the AdWords system. This campaign type is a very far reaching way to get your app seen across a variety of channels that the Google Network can offer.
Facebook News:
Sheryl Sandberg from Facebook made a couple interesting announcements and statements. One that was known among those in the know was that mainstream Instagram advertising will be rolled out over the next couple of weeks. Sandberg also lobbied for mobile advertising in general, as Facebook has transformed into primarily a mobile platform.
