Four Financial Sites, One United Feel—New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, Meredith Village Savings Bank, Merrimack County Savings Bank and MillRiver Wealth Management
In 2013, Merrimack County Savings Bank and Meredith Village Savings Bank formed an alliance as subsidiaries of New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, and then in 2015, were joined by MillRiver Wealth Management. Over time, it became evident that the four brands needed new websites with updated capabilities and to accomplish two important brand goals: 1) make it clear that they were allied together and 2) refresh and firmly establish their individual identities.
Establishing a strong brand for the alliance required giving each website a consistent look. This didn’t just mean consistency between the different brands, but consistency within each brand’s website. This ensures that customers always know exactly which page they are on and how to get where they want to go.
A bold, bright new header was added at the top of each brand’s website, making their relationship to each other instantly obvious to new visitors. And while these headers clearly coordinate with each other, each brand’s has a uniqueness all its own. We also made sure that site functionality was consistent, so if a customer was familiar with navigating through one, they could intuitively use another.
All sites were updated with the latest technology—one did not even include a search bar. We also built out and reorganized their content to ensure they were easy and pleasant for customers to use.
We built the sites within their intended hosting environment, so the launch was truly seamless. By working with the IT department, we were able to move all of the files to the new site ourselves, so all they had to do themselves was switch the domain to the new site at launch.
At Davis Advertising, we know that form and function are equally important when designing a website, and we also know that the customer is king and can’t be inconvenienced when a new site launches. We’ve honed our skills over the years to ensure that all sites are beautiful and functional and that they launch seamlessly, which was certainly evident this past week during these five launches.
