Worcester, MA—Davis Advertising was recently given the task of creating new taglines for the Nasoya and Azumaya brands of Vitasoy USA, Inc., based in Ayer, MA. Nasoya is a manufacturer and national distributor of natural and organic products including tofu, Asian noodles, wonton wraps, hummus, Pasta Zero gluten free pasta and Nayonaise sandwich spread. Azumaya produces an authentic, traditional tofu product at its west coast headquarters in San Francisco.
The challenge in developing a new Nasoya tagline was that it needed to promote the brand’s unique range of existing products while leaving the door open for exciting new entries to the line. Davis reviewed product demands and client input in order to create a number of options before a fresh approach and strategy – literally – produced a winner: “Always a Fresh Idea!”
Azumaya, a staple on the west coast since 1969, required a tagline that speaks to its long history of taste, quality and value, while also attracting new customers interested in authenticity. As with Nasoya, product demands and client input helped Davis’ copywriters focus their creative energy, leading to a new Azumaya tagline: “A Tradition of Quality Since 1969.”
