Davis Adverting was recently hired by two companies to handle web development duties.
Courier Express, Inc. of Springfield, MA and Riverdale Mills Corporation of Northbridge, MA both contracted Davis to design and build new websites. Each of these companies has unique needs and Davis Advertising is poised to meet them.
Courier Express, Inc., a shipping and packaging company, has an aging website—last redesigned in 2004so Davis will give it a contemporary look and feel while adding 2013 functionality. Chief among the goals for the site is to serve clientele using mobile devices, so, in addition to a desktop/laptop landing page, Davis is designing a custom mobile landing page. In other words, when a user types in the company’s web address from a mobile device, the site will recognize the “small screen” and automatically send the user to the site’s mobile version.
In addition, for both the main and custom mobile landing pages, Davis will create a cleaner site with new imagery, color coordination and improved SEO via rejuvenated copy for Courier Express.
The website for Riverdale Mills Corporation, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of galvanized/PVC-coated wire mesh, will also be saved from a busy design and outdate imagery. Most importantly, however, the site fails to deliver in the SEO department. Too often, search engines deliver people looking for products that can be made from Riverdale Mills’ wire mesh (for example, fencing, lobster traps, concrete reinforcement, filtration systems, etc.), which the company does not sell, as opposed to the wire mesh itself.
New website copy based on extensive SEO research into the manufacturer’s industry and target audience will change that and, thanks to the rebuild, when these new customers arrive at the site, they’ll find a more attractive and informative design.
